March 2009:

March/April has been jam packed with events!

Once again stepping behind the curtain, in early March Alan served as the property designer for The Orange Girls‘ production of Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice.

He also co-starred in a film short titled “Ragman“, based on Walter Wangerin’s award winning short story and produced by Dale Ward of Concordia Seminary.

Running from March 27th thru April 12th don’t miss Alan in the St. Louis Actor’s Studio production of Back of the Throat, directed by David Wassilak. We have been getting rave reviews– get links to them all on the review page.

In early April Alan will participate  in the 13th annual WiseWrite Festival at the Repertory Theater in Webster Groves.

Coming up in July Alan will be portraying Sebastian in The Tempest for Riverside Shakespeare Company in St. Charles.

December 2008:

Rounding out the end of 2008 is Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus at the Tin Ceiling Theater and the reviews are in! See what Steve Callahan of KDHX, Paul Friswold of the RiverFront Times , Andrea Braun of Playback:STL, & Judy Newmark of the St. Louis Post Dispatch have to say about the performance. Bob Wilcox and Gerry Kowarsky from “Two on the Aisle” also review the show.

Early this year, Alan switched gears and served as a grip on the set of Rhineland, a motion picture war epic directed by Chris Grega and produced by 88mm Productions. It will premier January 4th at the Tivoli Theater in St. Louis, MO.

October 2008:

Principal photography for Game of the Year has completed! Be on the lookout in the coming months for the latest places to catch trailers, see posters, and more!

Mustard Seed Theatre’s production of Measure for Measure (directed by Deanna Jent) was awarded “2008’s Best Shakespeare Production” by the staff of the St. Louis Riverfront Times newspaper!

Fulltime Ninjas, a full length feature film from Adam Hackbarth and Jeremy Corray, has been generating some momentum as well as funding! Check out the viral videos circling the internet as well as the website: www.fulltimeninjas.com

In December of 2008, Alan will be portraying “Aaron the Moor” in William Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus, which will be held at the Tin Ceiling Theater at the corner of Cherokee and Compton in South St. Louis. Mark your calenders and spend an evening watching Shakespeare’s most violent and gruesome production. Happy Holidays!

Advertising for the Mob has won 3 awards including “Best Feature – Comedy” at the 2008 St. Louis FilmMaker’s Showcase! If you haven’t seen it yet, watch it at the upcoming St. Louis International Film Festival on Friday, November 21st at 9:15pm!

July 2008:

Filming for Game of the Year is slated to begin in September 2008! Specific details about the film are unavailable for press release at this time.

May 2008:

Advertising for the Mob will premiere at the Tivoli Theater in St. Louis as part of the 2008 FilmMakers’ Showcase. Visit Cinema St. Louis for more information about the festival and become a part of the local film industry!

In June of 2008, Alan will be portraying “Tranio” in William Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew for St. Charles City’s Shakespeare in the Park. This will be presented by Riverside Shakespeare Co. and the St. Charles City Arts and Culture Commission.

The performances will run the last two weekends in June:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 in Frontier Park in St. Charles City.

March 2008:

Advertising for the Mob, a feature length comedy by Scott Wibbenmeyer, is near completion! It was recently submitted to the Canne Film Festival. Alan plays “Cecil”, a childhood friend of the lead character. http://www.advertisingforthemob.com/Home.html

In April of 2008, Alan will be portraying “Froth” in William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure for the newly formed Mustard Seed Theater. Directed by Deanna Jent. http://mustardseedtheatre.com/

October 2007:

Having returned from working in Malibu, CA., Alan is back in St. Louis and has geared up for a busy 2008.

In 2006 Alan co-produced and co-starred in the twenty-minute film short Raising the Bar which premiered at the 2007 St. Louis FilmMakers’ Showcase and was selected to move on to the St.Louis Independent Film Festival later that year. 16 out of 120 films from the showcase were invited to the festival. http://www.myspace.com/raisingthebarfilm
